Tired of being a New York City slicker, Jack The Cat was bound for California with his brother Barry and owner Karen Pascoe. With surfboard taped to luggage Jack The Cat was ready for a new life in the sun.

Last Thursday afternoon 8/25/11, Karen Pascoe was to fly on American Airlines from New York to San Jose, California to start a new job. She checked her two cats into cargo kennels for the cross-country trip, then went to wait for the boarding call for her flight at the food court.

It all went bad about a half hour before her flight was scheduled to take off. Karen was at the food court when she got a call from American Airlines, informing her that Jack The Cat had escaped from his kennel. AA thought that he may be in the baggage claim area at JFK.

Karen had no luck in finding Jack she had to leave because her luggage and Jacks brother Barry, were put on a earlier flight to California.

Pascoe said it took her more than 60 hours to reach anyone at the airline to find out what was being done to find Jack The Cat. Her sister even created a Facebook page, which has drawn some 12,401 fans who have, in turn, angrily flooded American’s Facebook page. Now American is using their Facebook page to keep worried and angry friends of Jack The Cat updated on the situation, and to calm things down.

AA has agreed to allow a Pet Rescue Team (including a search dog) into the AA baggage area Friday morning!!!

Karen has accepted the AA offer to fly her from California to New York to assist with the search to locate Jack The Cat this weekend, if he is not found before then.  Visit Find Jack The Cat at FaceBook

Jack now even has his own Twitter account (@jackthelostcat), which begins, “I’m having the time of my nine lives!”
I am hoping Jack The Cat is still inside JFK hiding out. AA employees have laid out cat food & water for him.
Look Jack the party is over, it is now time to catch your ride to California. You are not in trouble just come out of your hiding spot, we are all really worried about you pal.

Update – Sept 2, 2011 - Karen called… Spencer, the tracking dog immediately took them outside. It seems Jack left the bad very quickly after getting out of his carrier. Spencer followed his trail and took them to bushes, but the scent was not clear. Our best hope at this point is that Jack is loose somewhere in the area. QUEENS/LI RESCUERS… we need to hear your voice and we need your help!!! (

We got a tip from one of the great members of this community – who works at JFK – that she saw a cat that looked like Jack near long-term parking at JFK!! Karen’s on her way over there now… PAWS CROSSED AGAIN PLEASE!!!!

Update – Sept 2, 2011 – Well, Friends of Jack, we go to bed again tonight not knowing where Jack is sleeping tonight. Sleep well, furry friend…

Update – Sept 3, 2011 – All friends of Karen, Jack and Barry we go to bed again tonight not knowing where Jack is sleeping. Please stay positive and keep those good thoughts flowing.

Update – Sept 4, 2011 – Yes, another night not knowing where our furry friend is but nothing will stop us from finding Jack. Stay positive we will find Jack on Monday!

Here’s a few quick wordpress seo tips that should help you rank higher in Google search results if you haven’t done this already to your WordPress site.

1) Check out the WordPress SEO Plugin by Yoast, once installed go back over your old posts and change your titles and meta descriptions in the content. This is what will show up on the search engine results page (SERP). Yes this takes time but if you want to rank higher in the search engines you have to do some grunt work to fine tune your wordpress seo blog.

Don’t only pick the most common keywords. Keywords that are more specific to your niche usually perform better. In the end you want that sale, so getting better targeted traffic is key.
